Every year, Fortune puts out a list of the best companies to work for (in the US). So we decided to take a look at the top 10 companies with the highest employee satisfaction in 2022/2023. We got some insight into what they do to make their employees happy and what their employees have to say about working with them.

1. Cisco Systems

Why employees are happy: Great compensation packages and a strong employee community. Cisco also shows a commitment to employee welfare by offering free digital therapy and mental health coaching.

Companies added to and removed from the list since 2021

Added

  • Rocket companies: Launched a rest and relaxation program to prioritize employee wellness and developed a strategic plan to advance DEI in the company. 

Removed

  • UKG: The merge between Kronos Incorporated and Ultimate Software to form UKG led to inconsistencies in company culture. 
  • Texas Health Resources: Many employees found little opportunity for upwards mobility. 
  • Camden Property Trust: Low base pay and not a lot of room for growth.
